I ended up giving birth on the bed -- quite a messy process. This cover did a fantastic job of keeping the puddle of blood from leaking through to the mattress. It is very soft, doesn't make noise, and doesn't slip around. Highly recommend!

I had no opinion about this mattress protector until I had to wash it every other day for 3 weeks while my awesome cat, Detective Lenny Briscoe, decided to use my bed as her litterbox.Every other day I came home to our new apartment to find that Lenny has shredded something and left us a big "Eff You" note written in urine on our bed.This thing got washed repeatedly and held up pretty well. The underside did sustain some melting of the fabric when I dried it on high heat in my very old dryer, but other than that it handled the brutality with aplomb.
