Amazing product
By Vincent Nguyen
I bought the Geigerrig 1200 after buying a Camelbak Mule NV. I got the 1200 for a really good price so I decided to pull the trigger on it and order it. It came folded flat and ready to rock. I put it to the test with a 10 mile hike in the woods and a whole day of swimming/hiking trails and mangroves. The pack is very sturdy and took all my survival gear and clothing for the weekend. Its volume and compression are easily regulated by multiple straps on the side and on the back of it. I strapped clothing layers that I wanted readily accessible within the elastic straps on the back (one thing that the 1200 has but the other Rigs don't have I believe). The cargo volume is huge! This pack can carry a lot more stuff than it seems! The shoulder straps are easy on the shoulders/traps and don't dig in hard. They are easily adjusted. So are the chest and hip straps. I added some carabiners on the back of the pack to carry extra stuff like my Vibrams and my Glo Toob lithium as a night time beacon. The hydration engine is simply awesome and really easy to use. First, the bladder is 3L. I usually fill my Camelbak with 2/3 water and 1/3 ice so I did the same here. No problem. It fits nicely into the bladder compartment and there is even an elastic compartment to put it in in case you want to reduce bladder-swinging. The clip-on valves are easy and intuitive to use. The water valve may leak a few drops during plugging operations but that is normal. Once full and in place the bladder just needs a few pumps from the hand-pump and voila: pressurized water flow! So easy to drink I drank way too much. Really useful too when you need to wash the blood of splattered mosquitoes off your arms! The bladder is also really easy to wash: just reach for the bottom and pull it inside out. It is sturdy, tough, and won't rip. Wash it with running water and mild soap, rinse, then dry it with paper towels while you're at it. Done. No need to hang dry.During the 10 mile hike I decided to run for a quick mile with a full pack to see how it would handle. For a 1200 cu in, the pack balanced nicely and I did not feel any discomfort or anything that made me want to stop. I am confident that I could run longer distances with it, with less load in the pack.Geigerrig is putting out quality products and I am very impressed with this 1200 pack. I am looking forward to any new lines of products they will release.

Outstanding Product and Customer Service
By M. D. Roach
Let me start off by saying it is sad a big company like camelbak never thought of this but great the little guys could. I ordered this product after my camelbak recently burst a bladder. The idea of not feeling like I needed to suck a golf ball through a garden hose was nice as well as being able to share a bit of hydration with my pooch. I was very pleased with the product. The pack is sturdy with tons of straps to shrink it down when not full and great if you are on a motorcycle with it. The pump works perfectly and puts out water just right not slow and not to high of a volume. After hours spent trying to clean and dry my camelbak I was so happy i can turn this inside out wash it and leave it to dry. No extra brushes, dryers, hangers etc... It even says its top rack dishwasher safe (I dont see a need to risk this since my dishwasher regularly destroys plastic wear). On top of all of this I was a little concerned about putting anything other than water in the pack since it has a valve and pumps and such. On this note I visited the website for Geigerrig and looked for a customer support email. I found the page but was a little off put by the fact the emails listed were the CEO, COO and production manager. I figured "oh this isnt going to work" but emailed the CEO on a Saturday evening anyway. Sunday morning I see an email from the CEO answering my question and letting me know "go ahead and put sports drinks in, just wash it well afterwards"... Seriously, the CEO emailed me on a Sunday morning, with a good answer and a thank you for purchasing their product.I have written quite a few reviews on amazon when I am impressed by a product, customer service or not satisfied. I am so pleasantly surprised by every aspact of this product and company I cant say enough. Buy this or one of their other packs you will be very pleased.

There's no looking back!
By Roy
I am a Geigerrig man from now on. As I have been made aware, this pack is getting rave reviews in such outdoor sites such as Backpacker.com by authors and users alike as well as garner awards like 3M's In-New-vation award for 2011. You might not think that means anything, but you'll know what's so cool about it as soon as I let you borrow mine. Haha. The quality of the pack is put together with such excellent craftsmanship, I see no flaw. It carries good load (1200 cu. in. is giant for a hydration pack), with really good compression on the both sides and both for main compartment and the smaller front pocket so you're able to really squeeze your stuff in place. It's very solid and stable on your back when packed right, which I'm sure you got a handle on.Has great cushioning on the back and breathes real well. The the pressurized hydration bladder works perfectly, as the product description states; NEVER SUCK AGAIN. You won't appreciate that until you're actually drinking from it, you can even do things like wash away dirt from any part of your body. Spraying also means you can share your drink without fear of cooties. The bite valve is the most comfortable I've felt yet. I like the 45 degree angle to it. And that's not even all, you can even add an inline filter (sold separately for something like 20-30 bucks, through their site)that enables you pull water straight up from streams and remove 99% of giarda and other contaminants. COME ON with the COME ON!!!!For me that's what really sold it, a hydration pack that can actually save you from a dire situation or stress. Man.. that's going far and beyond for ANY hydration backpacks. When you're out trekking a trail or camping where you're out on your own, every little useful feature you can pack with you is GREATLY appreciated! It can expand big enough to carry gear or to day hike, or you can keep it compact enough to ride around a bike with.. either way, it's just as comfortable. There's just something badass about this backpack. It's like an action on the go grab backpack... if that makes any sense.EDIT: The support you get with this product is unseen in other companies. They totally have heart and believe in their products. That's nice to see nowadays! I contacted people responsible for this pack, and they are very nice and generous! It's important to note that they have lifetime warranty backing their bags and bladders. 2 years on the bags themselves and lifetime on the bladder. At any event of leakage problems, they got your back. This is great considering the engine retails about 50 bucks, and don't even think about loading this pack with a different bladder, you'd do yourself a disservice. If you're ever in a market for a good hydration pack or looking to replace one, please consider the GEIGERRIG name! You won't regret it.
