I'm 6'0", 188lbs and got a large. Light-weight w/ an athletic fit, but it's still roomy enough to layer some underneath. Stitching is a little "exposed", especially at the cuff. Probably won't hold up if I use it hard, but will see soon. Blocks the wind pretty well, and water runs right off. Would have liked a port for earbuds up from the pocket and would have gave it 5 stars if it had "Made in the U.S.A." on the tag , but that's about all I can say negative about the jacket when considering the price. Also, it took 11 days to get it. So much for the 5-7 days it was suppose to take.

I looked at about 10 soft shells in this category from Marmot, North Face, Columbia, REI, EMS, etc. This is the one I settled on and I'm happy with it, but it could be improved. I was looking for a good all around jacket for travel and hiking.Pros:+ Good looking fit, materials, and color.+ Comfortable in a range of temparatures (from 60s probably down to freezing, with layers obviously).+ Breathes well for hiking, probably good for biking too (haven't tried that).+ Sheds water (you can literally hold it under a faucet and watch the water roll off).+ Has two zipped chest pockets (one outside, one inside), unlike most soft shells that have only hand warmer pockets, or useless inside pockets that don't secure.Cons:+ All pockets have vertical zippers; there's nowhere to easily stow a boarding pass, train ticket, letter, etc.+ Inside fleece lining is a little too clingy, sometimes makes it hard to get the jacket on and off.+ Could be cut a little more generously for layering, especially in the sleeves.
