Very Fast install and works great out of the box!!

I didnt realize that this product does not need to be glued in place like typical pool products. You can actually install this product in about 15 minutes. You have to drill 4 holes with the provided drill bit, attach both the cell and the flow switch, plug it in and turn it on. Its really that simple. You have to add enough salt to the pool to equal 4000 ppm and you are good to go. It only has 5 settings, 20%, 40%,60%...... Mine was making chlorine in 25 minutes from the time i started the project. Everyday I check the chlorine level and it is always at 2-3 depending on the time of day I check it. This product has also helped my PH. I use to add acid every day and now I have only added acid 1 time in a week. Works great, I should have purchased it years ago.

Buyer Beware on installation - 2ft horizontal pipe needed to work

I bought this as it seemed like a great deal on amazon vs seeing it at my local pool store and doing research to convert my pool to a saltwater system. Being a do it your self kind of guy, i decided to take the plunge so to speak. first i went to the manufacturer website and downloaded the product brochure and did a "decent" amount of product research. Overall all indications were positive i was making a solid decision. After purchasing the unit and unboxing and digging into the setup manual, it states that you NEED A MINUMUM of a 2ft HORIZONTAL return pipe and that this unit HAS TO BE INSTALLED as THE LAST in line on the return. So, now i need to re-plum my entire system.. Local retail pool service team wouldnt re-plum, local independent under the table guy went dark and no show, so i ended up re-plumbing the system myself. I also have an in ground 6 cell system, which prevents me from following the clearly BOLDED instructions the unit has to be the last item of the return. So i called Jandi tech supsport, explained the situation and the tech agent said it would be fine, should work fine, and i would not void my warranty if installed between main return and 6 cell floor system, which is my only return. Overall works great, 18K gallon diving pool, once setup, i keep it on level 1 and 2 and sit right between 1 and 3 ppm for chlorine. So after a few weeks, now i'm just working out the ideal run time vs level. 24hr full run at full high works great as a shock mechanism as well. Worth the purchase if your willing to put some work into it.
