5Solid performance
By Steve
(Wedding and University DJ) Ive had mine for 6 months, and run them hard. They run warm but have never overheated and never get too hot after HOURS of pounding.I do keep an eye and lower the gain when I see the limit light come on. I used to watch over my Mackie SWA-1801s in the same manner but ran into tons of problems with those, be it the driver or the amp. I can say that compared to my mackies these have more solid, clean bass without the "WOOF" reverberating noise, which is good.Main reason I purchased these was so I can do gigs alone while keeping my crowds happy with tons of bass. They are a manageable ~80lbs and at a size that you can move around by yourself without a helper.Long long ago we had Cerwin Vega earthquakes. These JBLs don't punch you in the chest as good as those but the JBLs play better sustained bass notes. Great buy.

5Powerful Bass!
By Jonathan Wang
Anyone looking to add more bass to their professional sound system should seriously consider this product. The first time I tested it, I turned it up not even all the way, and the lights started rattling in their enclosures! I use this sound system primarily for parties, and the crowd loves the bass provided by this speaker.

5Great Sub and Mobile
By Phil
This is a great sub. I have 2, and even 1 can work for a small venue. It goes lower than other active subs. I have heard the plain 618S, and it is definitely not as loud as the 618S-XLF. When I got my second sub, I tested both of the XLFs together. One of the fluorescent lights in my living room couldn't handle the vibration and shorted out.

5mbrp
By daniel hoover jr
Honestly the removal of the factory exhaust system is way harder than the instalation of the MBRP system I had one issue with the kit I receive and that was that the mid pipe after the muffler was too long I assumed this is because its a universal system for the four, and two door jeeps a sawzall fixed this problem pretty quickly. Install took two hours on the ground and two wrenches no problem it was easy.Update:Okay so I've had the system for a while now and i have had one issue, the hangers that came on the MBRP slip off the factory hangers they go to, i fixed it by welding a washer on the end of the after market hanger, and this doesn't change my rating or recommendation of this product just something to keep in mind.

5Awesome Exhaust
By Nate
This exhaust is badass. I went through the Dynomax Evo Exhaust and Dynomax VT before settling on this one. This exhaust will definitely stay on my Jeep this time. The sound is great. Its not too loud but its definitely there. No drone at 2000 RPM's like the dynomax evo did. I needed to relocate the exhaust due to coilovers so this was a great option. Buy this exhaust and you definitely won't be disappointed. I didn't have any fitment issues like i was reading with the earlier versions of this kit.

56 stars
By WB
Daniel is dead on, removing the stock exhaust was a pain- had to soak the clamps in wd-40 to break the rust, and still ended up cutting one off. However, once the clamps were loosened, I stopped throwing wrenches and cursing, and everything went very smoothly. New exhaust fit perfectly on a '07 jk 4 dr unlimited x. It sounds very aggressive, and I paired it up with a Banks ram air intake and the performance improvements between the two are very noticeable. Off road clearance was really just an added bonus.

5Dynamite self-powered speakers
By J. Layton
I own a small sound company and do everything from from small dances to 1000+ gigs. I have owned several of the JBL speaker line-ups: JRX, MRX, and the NEW PRX. I also own EAW and Yamaha. I picked up these and the 635 for more simple jobs that don't need a stack of amps, processors, etc. I knew the earlier versions of the PRX line had some amp shut-off problems. My experience with the newer updated line is flawless so far. I read the Pro Audio boards and I see no problems with the updated versions of the PRX line. I really like the smoothness of these cabs. You can get away with little of no EQing although more experienced engineers always want to tweak. They really do sound nice. No...they don't negate a couple of subwoofers if your material requires it. Never buy into the reviews that say "with these speakers" you don't need subs. It ain't so.

2Bitter Sweet they Overheat
By Sarah Smith
I bought these speakers to fill up larger rooms. We have an interactive entertainment company that frequently is set up in gymnasiums, outdoors, etc. I wanted to have an easier setup than having to put up multiple speakers. With 1500 watts I thought for sure that I had found my solution. I do some local DJ work periodically this time of year so I decided to test them out. My first setup was in a practice gym at a community college. When I first turned them on and tested them out, I was floored at how precise and crisp the sound was. I had them hooked up to one sub but I considered not even using it because I had used my old JBL EON's in this room before and hadn't pushed them too far so I figured having 3 times the power would be more than sufficient. About three quarters of the way into the 3 hour dance, one speaker turned off. I wasn't redlining anything according to the mixer and the limiter light wasn't ever blinking to indicate things were heating up. I had to leave it off for about two songs before it would turn back on. I did two other jobs this last weekend and the same thing happened at one of the jobs. As much as I love the sound; and trust me, it's amazing, I have to send these back and get something different.

5JBL PRX 635 Speakers are working great for me!
By Pianoman54
I own a small sound company in Ohio, and I purchased my first pair of JBL PRX 635 powered speakers during March 2012, after reading TONS of reviews first. I was originally looking at the QSC KW 153 speakers, which are basically the same type of 3-way speakers and components. The problem I had, was that I needed something smaller that would fit in my smaller sound van (for small to mid size club gigs), which is a Ford Freestar van, with all the seats removed, and a plywood floor. The QSC KW 153's were 87 lbs, 43 inches tall, and had 2-500 watt Class D amps, divided between the 15" woofer and the mids and highs. It's a great speaker, though was to tall to stand up in my mini van. I DID also buy one pair of the QSC KW 181 subs though, because they were smaller than the JBL powered subs, and also came with castors on them! Then I happened to come upon these JBL's. I looked over the specs, and discovered that they were only a little over 36 inches tall, ONLY 60 lbs, and had 3-500 watt Class D amps, one for EACH of the 3 separate components. I began to read all the reviews, and was slightly concerned because quite a few people wrote that they had problems with them shutting down from overheating. I always try my best to "weed through" many of these reviews, by attempting to determine the "audio expertise" of the authors. It's also pretty well known that many competing companies often actually ask their employees and friends to purposly write "bad reviews," for any new products that might take some of their business. After all this research, I took a leap of faith in JBL, and purchased 2 of these speakers. I used them for over 80 gigs from March 2012 through December 2012, WITHOUT a single problem..., and by the way, they also sound GREAT!! During December 2012, I decided it was time to begin replacing the 20 year old passive EV-Sonic 3020 main cabinets (each cabinet is 2-15's, 2-10's, horn & tweeter, and 200 lbs each!!), and my passive EV-Sonic matching dual 18 Subwoofer cabinets (2-18's each, and each about 180 lbs!), in my larger Ford Econline van. btw...I'm also 59, and though these these cabinets always sounded great, and have served me well, they are MUCH harder to move than 20 years ago...Ha! I decided to purchase a 2nd pair of the JBL PRX 635 speakers, and 2-Seismic Audio single 18" Enforcer subs, that I'm powering with a QSC PLX 3402 in bridge mode, netting between 1500-1700 watts for each single sub at 4 ohms. I have used this new system now since the last week of December 2012 (6 live gigs so far), and it not only kicks, but is clean with lots of headroom, and just sounds SO musical when I mic up the live bands! I am going to purchase one more pair of JBL's and another pair of the subs in a few more months, so that I will have 4 of each in my larger van for larger gigs this summer. This will also allow me to bring both of my vans for larger shows, and have 3-subs, and 3-JBL's on each side of the stage (which I can't even imagine yet, as just TWO of each sound awesome!). btw...The first thing I did when I bought my new JBL speakers, was to also pay the extra money for the nice JBL covers. Between that, and the fact that I treat my gear right, and DO NOT handle it roughly, I'm hoping that this new gear will last me until I retire! So far, everything is great, and my back is also feeling better (Ha!), so thanks to JBL!With regards,Gary / The Music Shoppe
