This is a fantastic jacket. Excellent quality, highly adjustable, and great in a variety of weather conditions. I have 12 lb. single-coated rat terrier mix who is very cold sensitive. The sometimes intense Chicago winter weather can be challenging for her and this jacket makes her outside time far more comfortable than any of the other jackets we've tried. When it's really cold, we add a layer underneath. Only thing that would make it better is if there were a hole for a leash at the back of the neck for attaching a harness so we could make better use of the collar.

My JRT gets cold. She has a warm jacket, but needed something for rain. This jacket is perfect. Sometimes I feel silly having her wear coats, but she is much happier with the added warmth.

I have a 19 lb Rat Terrier (13" from neck to tail - 21" around the shoulders - 14" around the neck) and most jackets that I buy for him fit well every where except the chest. I tried this on (size 13) right out of the package and it fit perfectly & there is room just in case there is any more growth (doubtful as he is 3 years old), or if he wears a sweater underneath because of the adjustable straps that go around the body. It also has a bungee at the neck to make that adjustable as well. The fur around the neck keeps the neck and nape of neck warm and dry. The elastic straps at each back leg help hold down the back of the jacket to keep the hind quarters warm. Reflector strips up the sides are very effective. The fact that the jacket is waterproof/windproof is an added bonus, and my little man looks very stylish in it.
