The Newport is a bold redesign of the classic structured bag, crafted from rich, fill grain leather combined with faux alligator front and back. Its lined interior contains three accessory pockets for cell phone, glasses, pens and other small items. A tailored flap secures by magnetic closure and the reinforced bottom stands on five petite, nickel-plated brass “feet” to withstand the perils of everyday use. The Newport’s self-contained side-entry holster compartment accommodates most small and large-frame defensive handguns. Like all Galco handbags, it features a locking zipper for added security. The Newport is available in brown or black with nickel hardware. Dimensions are 9” H, 12” L, 5 ½” W. Drop at shoulder is 11”.

I used to change my purse every time I changed my clothes. I literally have a purse in every color. But when I got my concieled handgun license I needed something to carry it in. I have a Ruger SP101 .357 revolver which is not the smallest of concieled guns but I love my gun and now I love my Galco Newprot Holster Handbag even more. It's firm enough to hold the gun without any colapsing and I love the feel of it. It's just the right size I can have my gun in the holstered side pocket and still put my face powder, lipstick, blotting papers, and gum in the small zipped pocket. My phone, ipod, and wallet go in the loose pockets and there is still room for things like my bible on Sundays. It will hold my HP Touchpad although it is a bit of a squeez. I love this bag and rarely change my purse out now.
