Sounds jangly. Very useful tone for the sixties sound. If you tweak the settings just right, you can make a Tele sound almost like a Ricky 12. I also run my Italia 12 string through this and it really DOES sound like a Ricky 12. But if I had known how good this worked on 6 string guitars, I could have saved myself the $500 I spent on the Italia so I could play three songs in the band that need that sound. So my advice to you is, by this before you invest in a 12 string and save yourself some dough.

I've never had any luck with getting good tone from a comp., I bought this because I bought a Ric. McGuinn, Petty, and Campbell all use these. Long story short. It's on all the time, it makes all guitars sound sweeter. Sustain is amazing, this is a great pedal.

JangleBox Silver Compressor Pedal I bought a 12-string guitar a few months ago and the more I played it the more I realized that it was missing...something. After researching a bit I discovered that a 12-string guitar almost requires a high quality compressor to sound its best. I chose the Janglebox (JB) Silver Compressor Pedal over others that I researched. I am glad I did! It gives my 12-string the jangle and sparkle that it previously lacked. It can also be used as a booster by turning up the "Gain" knob. I love my new sound through the JB Silver. It works great with six-string guitars as well. You can pay a lot more or somewhat less for a compressor, but the JB Silver does it for me at the right price point.
