I bought these car seats for my 3 year old twins. I do not like them. The arm rests were totally in the way. I got my husband cut them off. What really annoys me though is how the straps are CONSTANTLY twisted. No matter now many times I fix them they are twisted back up the next day. I decided I better come write a review when my twins started saying, "Mama, you HATE these car seats??" Guess I only thought I was muttering it under my breath . . .

I bought this because I had the Graco MyRide 65, which is pretty hard for my 3 year old to get in and out of on his own because it's a pretty big car seat. I have to pick him up and cradle him like a baby to put him in... and he is far from baby sized now.I chose this one because it is a booster with a harness that uses the latch system/anchor system. My son is still too small for the seat belt only booster seats, and the ones of those I have seen do not use any latch system, but just sits on the seat. I'm not comfortable with that at all... I want some added protection for my child in case of a crash... knowledge that the seat is securely strapped down to the seat and won't go anywhere in case of a seat belt failure.I DO like the fact that the latch has an easy release button to help loosen the latch belt for removal. The Graco did not and it was hard to position it just right to get it loosened enough to take it out. BUT it is REALLY hard to install alone. You have to put your knee into the seat and pull up on the latch belt to tighten it... impossible from the angle in which you are pulling. I had to get my husband (who does his fair share of weight lifting) to do it while I sat on the seat, and it was hard for even him. The crotch strap is too close, even on the outer most setting but my son doesn't complain too much about it.When tightening the harness, you have to be careful because it tightens up unevenly. I don't need to tell you that is a dangerous thing. The seat is harder than the Graco MyRide 65, but it is what I was looking for size wise. I don't think the arm rests are removable, and you need a screw driver to adjust the headrest up and down, but it should be a while before I need to adjust it. Overall it seems sturdy and safe. And if I have anymore opinions on it, I will update for sure.*******UPDATE******* We are returning this seat. The latch did not tighten the way that we thought that it did. It actually stayed loose. The hole that the latch belt goes through is placed too awkward. The latch will tighten completely when not trying to install it, but when installing it, it only goes so far and leaves about 2 inches of slack and will NOT budge. That's way too much play. It won't tighten with the car seat belt either. I own a 2001 Lincoln LS. No other car seat that I have owned has done this. This thing has a major design flaw for sure. I will just stick with my Graco seat. I would rather go through a little annoyances with putting him in the seat and know that he is safe, than to have to constantly worry if the seat is installed properly.

Our 3 year old son uses this booster and we are pleased with its functionality; sometimes the buckle is a bit hard to unfasten, but overall it is easily adjustable and user-friendly, especially when compared to similarly-priced competitors.
