The sound on these is decent; they're not bad at all, but they also aren't the best you'll find out there. Still, you really can't beat 'em for the price.I actually ran into a strange hang up, though: when attached to my MP3 player (Creative) the control switch must be pressed down for full sound to be produced. The headphones work perfectly fine when attached to other devices (my computer, stereo, etc) as does my MP3 player, so I have to assume that something in their interaction is causing the problem. Tried to get help from Skullcandy and they never got back to me, so I solved it myself using cable ties. (Whatever, I wasn't going to let a stupid button come between me and my new headphones.)This isn't likely to happen, as I haven't found any other documented cases of it, just be aware that it might.
