Perfect for what we wanted

Fridge has a wooden front - where to hang the kids art work? We bought two of these so we'd have a place to hang art work and what kid's life is complete without having a set of magnet letters to play with? The packaging is adequate, but with something shaped like this - huge flat box - it doesn't take much to overwhelm cardboard. One of ours arrived with a big dent in it, and the board was warped. I am guessing that from a business standpoint, it is cheaper for the company and amazon to simply replace a few here and there that are damaged in shipping rather than ship every single one in a bulletproof box. The board itself is very sturdy and well made. We hung them above/below each other and they look great. I used a nub of poster tack in each of the lower corners so that the boards stay still as they are only mounted to the wall on the top border. We are happy with our purchase and it was easy to get a replacement from Amazon for the one that was damaged. This is the first time I had to return anything damaged in shipping - they sent out a new one right away and sent a prepaid label for the return box, nice and easy.

Our new fridge won't allow magnets to "stick". My wife was bummed out, until we found this magnet board. The size is great and the magnets are out of the way when I open the fridge. No move knocking off porcelain magnets when I'm swinging open fridge doors. We're now ordering a 2nd one for another part of the fridge.

Beautiful addition to my wall

Be careful; it's really heavy, so get someone to help you when you hang it up. My college roommates and I hung it on our wall and covered it with tons of magnetic poetry. It's a huge hit with all of our friends! The only tiny flaw I noticed is that the surface scratches ever so slightly when we moved the poetry magnets across the board. The lines are thin but visible. Also, this may be just a student's complaint, but I wish it didn't cost so much!
