Product Description
2-pack with 2 bars of each 100g (separately sealed). This clay bar works with water as lubricant. We offer this clay bar at a very competitive price. Use the clay bar to remove all contaminant from the car paint prior to polish/waxing. After treating the car paint with this clay bar the surface will be smooth like glass. Can also be used on windows and other smooth surfaces. Its very soft and comfortable to work with. No use of special liquid or spray bottle as lubricant (water or soap/water mix is fine). Instruction: Work on one panel at a time (2-3 sqft.) by applying lubricant to surface and rubbing lightly with the clay bar back and forth until the surface is smooth or no more noice when moving the clay across surface. If the clay bar is dropped on ground then it cannot be used any more since the risk of scratching the surface is great. Keep kneading the clay bar after each panel in order to have a fresh part of the clay bar to work with. The clay bar should be good for several cars depending on how much contaminant and size of the car.

Easy to Use, Worked Perfectly
By B. Cox
Let me first point out that I had never clayed a car before in my life before buying this product. I own a 2001 Audi S4 that is navy blue. It has seen better days and the exterior is pretty banged up. I've lived in my city for a few years now and its taken its fair share of scratches. Not to mention the amount of bugs and sap and nasty stuff everywhere. After a thorough wash, I broke out the clay bars. Clayed the entire car, which took about an hour and a half. Needless to say, my car had never looked better in its life since I've owned it. And to the touch, the surface felt flawless.I place on doing a clay once a year now to remove impurities from the surface. Highly recommend this product.

Great clay at a great price...
By Michael Bremer
About me: I run my own automotive detailing business and have cleaned and detailed vehicles for over 10 years. For the record, I am a big time Meguiars loyalist and use their products almost exclusively. However, I was getting tired of spending $20+ dollars for the 200gram clay bar in their professional detailing line up and furthermore, I was tired of spending $17+ on the consumer lineup bars for either the Meguiars or the Mothers that come with the detailing spray to use as lubrication. I don't need the detailing spray bottles about 90% of the time as I rarely use them since I favor buying the professional lineup bottles in bulk as they are more economical.About the clay: This is by far my favorite clay of choice. Not even because it's cheaper, if it was more I would still probably buy it. Maybe I shouldn't have said that in case the manufacturer is reading their amazon reviews. Here's why: The clay is always more firm. The mothers and meguiars brand clay (aside from Meguiars professional) is always smushy, soft and very flexible. So flexible that it becomes a pain to use seeing as paint contamination removal works in large part by friction and that friction relies on pressure. The consumer line up of Meguiars and Mothers literally squeezes out of the sides of your hands with minimal pressure applied. This brand stays rigid and allows you to apply more uniform pressure to the surface thus taking down the contamination quicker. This clay will NOT harm the surface of your vehicle much like the other brands that I have used UNLESS, used improperly with too little lubricant. Make sure you give your vehicle a complete and thorough wash prior to using any clay bar on your vehicle. If you drop the clay, THROW IT OUT. Do NOT think you can salvage some of it. I always start with the body panels that have the least amount of contamination on them FIRST and the heaviest contaminated surfaces I save for LAST, just like you should during a wash. If you are not sure run your hand over the entire surface with a plastic bag on your hand and you will be able to feel what's what. Try this test again when you think you are finished. When finished, your vehicle will most likely be free of harmful contaminants and as smooth as silk. I always clay vehicles prior to buffing and always follow up buffing with a good machine applied/hand removed waxing.Packaging: Could be better as it arrives in a plastic bag that tends to stick to the clay and is taped shut making opening a pain. Should package it in a container. (I know this part doesn't fit into the review portion to some, but I figured it'd be worth mentioning). It doesn't effect my review by any means, obviously, as I rated this product it's deserving rating of 5 stars.Final notes: If you are only claying a vehicle every so often it might be worth your time to pick up the Meguiars or Mothers kit. They even sell them at wally world, usually cheaper than your auto parts stores. Reason being is, it comes with the detailing spray/lubricant and a microfiber towel. But, if you clay often and want IMO the best clay bar for the buck then I highly recommend going this route instead.Make sure to use plenty of lubricant. I beg to differ with some of the reviewers comments about usage such as "wash one panel with soapy water at a time"... Why one panel at a time? Why not wash the entire vehicle at once first, from top to bottom? Why "soapy water"? We should be using automotive car shampoo. "You can use one bar on a grimy vehicle several times over"... Personally I wouldn't encourage this process. If someone has a severely contaminated vehicle and they use this bar it should go in the trash after usage, in my opinion. +1 to the make sure you fold/turn/flatten comments often during usage. Spray a little detail spray on your windshield or rear window and press the bar flat into it with moderate pressure. Manipulate/stretch the bar a little when necessary.

Too agressive, scuffs paint , the red clay from the same company is way better
By Arcadian
The blue clay slightly scuffed the glass like clear coat on my new car. It is hard to see by the untrained eye, giving the impression that the clay leaves a residue, it doesn't. It leaves a subtle white haze that is permanent and must be polished off. I should note that I applied the blue clay bar with car soap as a lubricant, while folding the clay and remolding it as needed to avoid applying the contaminants from the last section.I had previously used the "red" colored clay which has a pinkish sort of color (from the same company), and it was very gentle and left no haze nor hairline scratches, nor did it affect the deep gloss for that matter. But the blue clay seems extremely aggressive, and it's not too difficult to hear the abrasion sound that it makes as it passes across a clear coat finish. On the other hand, the red Easy Clay makes no sound when applied. So, as a far as the blue clay goes, I ended up having to use haze remover to get my car's finish somewhat back to its original state. On top of that, some of the clear coat has been removed in the process.I would recommend this stuff for older paint jobs, and that's assuming the clear coat is still in decent shape. But if the vehicle is new, using the red clay (from the same company) with car soap will be the safest bet. I used the red stuff about 3 times within the last year or so and no visible scratches ever appeared, just a nice, clean, smooth finish.Another thing about the blue clay is that it's less pliable, almost powdery dry in consistency and generally harder to work with than the red one.I really don't understand what Easy Clay plans to gain from not describing which [color coded?] clay is more aggressive. In any case, let this review serve as a warning.
