This tripod exceeded my expectations, concerning the price. I use it with a 5D Mark III and heavy lenses and it really handles it well. It might get a little wobbly if put more weight on it though. Buildquality is very good. Everything just works out fine.

By Larry Columbus
Typical of Amazon, the specification of this tripod is just non-existent. Here is what I found out:1. Tripod leg maximum working height (ground to tripod leg top mount) with center column down: 56.625 inch2. Tripod maximum working height (ground to tripod head mount) with center column down: 61.375 inch3. Tripod leg maximum working height (ground to tripod leg top mount) with center column fully extended: 67.875 inch4. Tripod maximum working height (ground to tripod head mount) with center column fully extended: 72.5 inch5. Tripod weight (estimate by a step-on scale): 7.5 ~ 8 lbThe tripod I got has 4 leg segments (one extra leg segment compared to the picture shown on Amazon). The panning of the head is stiff (even when loosing all the way up). If I try to do a quick pan, the center column has a small amount of play, which could ruin a shot. It is fine if I pan slowly. It is necessary to put one hand on the tripod when panning (otherwise the whole tripod would move in the direction of the pan). The up-down movement is very smooth. The leg clips are made of strong plastic, which is very easy to loose and tighten. The clips are very snug with no slipping. The bubble on the head that I got has been squeezed. As a result, the bubble on the head is not aligning with the bubble on the head (so taking out one star due to this). I am considering to do an exchange but might keep the one I got as I really like the light weight and height. I'm worried that the height might not be this tall if I exchange for one with only 3 leg segments. I have a rig with Sony NEX FS100 for about 10 pounds. The tripod handles that with ease and stay stable, even with the center column fully extended. I'm happy.

By Nguyen
Its Fluid Drag Head was made all metal and very smooth with both tilt and panning , but i think design engineering on the legs bolt joints ain't perfect , it is ok but it moves a little when you first make a move on panning , you have to hold it down to prevent it move . I am not talking about the leg lift up the ground if you dont use your hand to hold it down , i am talking about BOLTS JOINTS three legs with the ring which hold on the extention .
