Hot water tank outside?

We have a 2200 sq foot home which had the hot water tank 40 feet from the kitchen and 70 feet from the master bath so it always took a full minute and many wasted gallons of water to get something hot. With the floor plan relocating an indoor tank to the center of the house was not ideal though the indoor tankless would have been an option but I did not want to deal with the work of the air intake and chimney install.The information on the Rheem outdoor tankless was mixed and stated that is was good to -30 and yet elsewhere I saw it listed at 30. That said, the -30 was on their website so we decided to go with it. Upon receiving it and the additional grey pipe cover which was not sold here at Amazon. I did find and buy it at Wholesale America and it is definitely something you'll need to make this a clean install.SKU: RTG20169XG Weight: 9 lbs Rheem RTG20169XG Grey Pipe Covers for the RTG66-X $64.29After installing my pipes, gas and electric I insulated this cover with hard Styrofoam and of course also ran a heat tape on the pipes coming out and going in. In mounting this tank to the house, I stayed low and used a 2.5" hole saw to make 5 holes through to the crawl space which will allow more of that warmth to access the now insulated pipe cover.It is still early November in Kansas and if any problems develop during the colder parts of winter, I will update this posting.As far as the tank and how it works, it is wonderful! We are using propane from a 1000 gallon tank and as with most of these installs, the tank has a first stage regulator and then at the house is a second stage. We have a gas furnace, dryer, stove and now this higher Btu hot water tank so I was naturally concerned that I might need to install a tee and place a second second stage regulator at the house and then run a dedicated line to the new water heater. I opted to try and tap into the lines using the appropriate flex pipe for high volume and it worked out just fine with only the one regulator. We tested this by running the furnace, dryer, oven and burners while running hot water. By holding a meat thermometer in the stream of hot water while the tank thermostat was set at 120F, I had a steady reading of 119 and when set at 130 I had 129 which means one or the other of these is off a wee little bit but the tank produces the hot water as it should! How cool is that?With regard to the remote thermostat that you'll get with this... it only goes up to 120F until you bypass that if you want to go to 125, 130, 135 or 140. The instruction sheet that came with our tank was confusing and instructed me to open the tank cover and switch a dip switch and push a button and watch for a flashing light etc. Please don't waste your time!! I called their 800 number and talked to somebody in 'trouble shooting' and she instructed me to simply go to the thermostat and with it set at 120, hold the 'temp up' key until 140 pops up. Then I think she said to hold both up and down keys and that would lock me into the higher temp settings. You can then adjust in 5 degree increments and we chose 130 because we have a dishwasher and no little ones in the house.The unit works well delivering endless supplies of hot water and is very quiet not that it matters outside!

Does the job and does it well.

I have a 2 bed 2 bath house with a washing machine and a dish washer. I removed the electric water heater from the guest bath. I ran gas line and added this LP tankless to the outside wall adjacent to the bathroom over 2 months ago. It was 'plug and play'. I had no problems at all.Our electric bill dropped from an average of $90-$100 per month to $50. I never thought that old water heater was using HALF of my energy! There is plenty of hot water at 120 and 130 degrees. I have never noticed a drop in the temp from running too many fixtures at once. It has no problem keeping up. (When I first installed it I turned on the kitchen sink, bathroom sinks, and bath tub and let them run for a couple minutes. there was constant hot water with no noticeable temperature drop.)I looked at the overpriced tankless water heaters out there at the warehouse home improvement stores costing $12,000 and more. I'm glad I decided to go with this Rheem from Plumbing Evolution. Highly recommended!!!

Completely wonderful...

I did a lot of research on the web before ordering this one. I was a bit worried since there were at the time only two reviews, but it encompassed everything I was looking for. I liked the canvas back and the foot holder. It wasn't too hard to set up, I enlisted a helper and had it done in less than an hour. The packaging was great! Very neat and organized. Nothing was missing, the directions were easy enough to follow and in English only... :) I would deffinately recommend this Inversion table. I would suggest when you get it out of the box to tighten any loose screws on the A-frame before you put it all together. It is very sturdy and holds me quite well, I weigh 185 pounds and am 5'8". You really can't beat the price either. GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

The Real Deal

Please don't look for any other. I researched these inversion tables, including those on Tele infomercials. I bought two other ones before this but had to return them. This is made simple. It came almost ready. My kids (14 & 9) completed the assemble. Use is equally easy. Quite practical, foldable for storage, not heavy like some other ones and it does the job. After one week I started feeling comfortable with it. and guess what for that price and free shipping, I'll say Very Good.

The old water heater developed a leak at the tank. We decided to go with a tankless water heater as a replacement. This seller shipped the product faster than we imagined. The product was In perfect condition, and operates flawlessly. The water Is as hot as we could handle and never fluctuates or runs out. In a home with a wife and 2 female teens hot water was always In short supply before.It uses less gas so eventually the product will pay for Itself. Be sure to do research and get the right unit for your home. There are many variations for all situations. Indoor,outdoor,electric,natural gas,LP gas,and GPM all need to be considered before you make your decision.

GREAT Technology, PERFECT product!!!!

This tankless is an OUTSTANDING piece on innovation. A little about myself:1. My home was a victim of the Sandy Hurricane in NJ2. I make a very modest living as a school teacher, thrift is a way of life for me3. Environmental concerns and "green" technology are very important for meSo, there my family was after SANDY. A 10th of a mile from the bay, all of the heating and cooling systems lost to 6 feet of water in the basement. This was an opportunity to change to LESS EXPENSIVE and more sustainable equipment. But, with little cash resources, we had to get creative. After plenty of research, I settled on this Rheem. I also was able to make the install myself. I am a history teacher, with a good knack for renovation. It is possible to do!The price was unbeatable!!! a couple years ago, these were in the $1800 to $3000 range. I was able to get this for $650. It was even less elsewhere, but I am a trusted longtime customer of Amazon. With a $300 tax credit, this unit was $350. It is embarassing that more HVAC renovators are not pushing this great piece of technology. It WILL last 3 times longer than a tank, will save a FORTUNE in energy savings, and it is so GENTLE on the environment.If I can do this, you really can do this.One Happy Customer

Good frame for the price

This is a frame that is fairly light and still seems strong enough. I have loaded it with 40 pounds of gear and it still feels comfortable. I like the storage built into the lumbar pad. It can be used for field dressing tools, emergency rations, first aid supplies, etc.Overall, a good pack frame for the price.

The Perfect Trail shoe

I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL RUNNER. I am someone who needed to get back in shape after winter and I bought these shoes to make this goal easier. I have been very pleasantly surprised at how these shoes have performed.These shoes are amazing. The lightweight mesh design offers exceptional breathability and also dries wicked fast. It's been a really sloppy spring here from the quick snow melt, and these shoes are perfect for getting wet and muddy and then drying quickly. IF YOU HAVE WIDE FEET these shoes are a no-brainer to buy. I bought a size 12 4E wide shoe and my feet have never been more comfortable. I live at a camp in Northern MN and they've made it a blast to run through the woods; I am enjoying running in a whole different way than I have in the past. Sticks, rocks, logs--who cares? With the durably built sole obstacles that would give me trouble in normal shoes are a piece of cake.Right now I'm debating on whether to buy another pair right to plan ahead for when these get worn down--that should give you an idea of how much I love these shoes.

Is it all that good?

The MT915 is a good trail shoe, however I found it to be poor on the down hills. The heal is rather narrow which does not provide great stability of the ankle. The light weight material also allows the ankle to move from side to side. The last problem I had was that I could not keep the shoe tight enough to keep my feet from slipping forward, which resulted in jammed toes. Where this shoe preformed well was on the flat areas. It feels light and does a great job protecting your feet from the rocks. You could wear this shoe for a road marathon, if cushioning is not a concern. Is there a better shoe? Yes, the MT904 which they stopped making. The MT904 worked as well or better in all conditions noted above. I have used the MT904 for both ultra races and marathon races.

Not well-designed

This is a VERY low cut shoe with a very substantial and fairly inflexible heel and sole. My heel felt like it was constantly about to slip out of the shoe and I could only comfortably wear them if I took out the insole. The tongue is paper thin and if I laced them up securely enough that they didn't slip, the laces cut into the front of my ankles. It's also pretty poorly shaped. Whereas most decent running shoes will generally have an anatomically correct "D" shaped profile (tapering to the big toe), this shoe has an "A" shape (tapering to the center of the foot), which was forcing my toes together.I should have tried these on in a store first, learned my lesson.

Best shoe I've bought all year

I wish I had bought this shoe before spending $150 on some other shoes just 2 weeks earlier. They are comfortable, can be worn at work for 8 hours, feel like you're walking on air, and look just formal enough to make a shirt-and-tie ensemble look decent.

Awesome shoes!

First of all...I have terrible feet. No arch whatsoever. And they are very wide. I got these at a two for one sale, and they are wonderful. I do a lot of city walking, and these are honestly the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Don't know how well they will wear--I rotate them out with two other pair, but these are my favorites, and they show little wear after three months. For the price, they are an incredible buy!

Excellent Water Heater for Propane

This heater replaced an older Rheem that was still working but over 15 years old. I had good luck with the old Rheem and this one met my expectations. Similar in size, it installed fairly easily and I did it myself. Amazon stepped in when delivery looked like it was going to be delayed and the heater arrived on time with no damage or other problems with delivery. The new Rheem heats up very quickly compared to the old one and does not come on as often. It is much quieter also and has a more modern ignition system. The only caution is that the heater is actually a gray color and not the white as shown in the picture. I had anticipated that through a review of the manufacturers web site.

Since i gained a lot of weight i had been looking for comfortable and sturdy shoes for daily life (basically walking to/from the metro station to work, getting about between international airports and hotel, and other such trivial and low intensity activities). Finding double-E (wider) models was almost impossible. Brand name tennis shoes and other slip-on models at higher prices did not provide with sufficient support and comfort. This pair has been my faithful companion. I will buy a pair in brown soon, even though the black ones i now have are still in great shape.

I have owned shoes that cost more than 8 times the price of these shoes were not nearly as comfortable or durable. Outstanding value.
