I bought this entertainment console about a year ago to use with my new 50" flat screen tv. I chose this one because we had a really nice larger entertainment center that we purchased at a local furniture store and it was by the same company. We are really into mission furniture! When this arrived, I felt it was slightly darker than I anticipated, but not in a bad way. We have a coffee table and end table that are the typical mission cherry color, so this was a bit darker but beautiful nonetheless. The only bad thing I could say about it was that it smelled of stain and lacquer like they literally did it just before shipping. Of course the smell dissipated quickly, so it was no big deal. The nice thing about this piece, in terms of construction, is that much of it is already assembled and just has to be moved into place...rather than screwing and nailing according to directions (like most furniture pieces I've purchased in the past). Anyway, I feel this is a very nice, high quality, piece of furniture and a year later I'm still very happy with my purchase.
