This is a replacement battery for my Toshiba laptop. My laptop is about a year old and I use it all day for work, so after charging it two or three times a day for a year, it started to lose its ability to hold a charge for more than about an hour. I looked up my laptop's model # on Toshiba's website and found that this was the direct replacement for my old battery, however Toshiba has increased the power rating on the battery since I originally bought my laptop. This holds a charge for much longer than my original battery ever did. This will run my 14" Satellite laptop for 3 1/2 to 4 hours, while my original battery would only last 2 to 2 1/2 hours. I'm very happy with this.

I compared this product to the factory battery and the price difference was incredible. I was not sure if the quality would be comparable but the price difference was so great I decided to give it a chance. The manufacturers battery was so pricey (we also needed a charger) that it would not have been too much more to buy a new laptop. This battery has charged well and held the charge when off the charger very well. I would recommend it to any prospective buyer.

I bought this for my Toshiba Satelite M645-S4055 and is the same size as the original 6-cell battery.This has much more capacity and is listed on the Toshiba website as the current recommended replacement.Fully charged this battery probably lasts 3-4 hours and is a big improvement over the original
