I was looking for the biggest chiming clock I could afford. I was shocked at some of the prices that were asked for chiming clocks on the web. Sometimes upwards around $400.00 or more. Then I happened upon this clock. The price was affordable (not cheap but affordable) and it was large and chimed. It even has different settings depending on how you want the clock to chime. It looks great on my wall and it is a reliable time piece.

I bought one of those Seiko musical clocks first, but returned it. I couldn't see the numbers from a distance and it was too 'modern' looking for our living room. This clock is a little bigger than I expected, but you can see the time great. The music is rich and full sounding and I have it set on the lowest volume setting. The wood look matches our more 'country' style. I like that it doesn't require a lit room to chime, like the Seiko did. This one goes into silent mode after 11:00 pm until 6:00 am I think. Or you can set it to never be silent or always be silent. We are enjoying it.
