Bought this for myself. Always wanted a G-Shock but never came across one that didn't look like your average digital watch. This one is not your average digital watch. I loved it right out of the box and look forward to getting a lot of use out of it. I will admit, the face is very busy and takes some getting use to but that is what makes it unique. If you are going to use this watch as a timer please note that the digital areas are hard to read if the hands happen to be covering them. Also, I like a watch with a large face and this has one. If you don't like a big chunky face please move on. As noted in other reviews the light shines from the bottom of the screen making the digital area unreadable. The hands are easily read but there are no numbers for reference. Also as stated in other reviews, the watch is not black, it's dark gray or charcoal which is what I wanted. If you want a unique G-Shock that just plain looks cool, this is for you. If you need a digital watch that has functions to be used frequently this is not the one. It's exactly what I wanted, 5 stars!!

I got the GA-110 as a gift. I collect g-shocks since I love the durability & look. I get a lot of compliments on this one. It's a dark slate grey color, not black, but goes pretty much with any casual clothing. PROS - It's BIG, easy to read, analog & digital, dual clasp buckle, more features than you'll probably need, & it's handsome. CONS - It's BIG, not easily worn with cuffed sleeves. Also, the beefy clasp is actually a bit uncomfortable on the bottom side of my wrist. I wear this g-shock the most of all my g-shocks, despite the fact that it's the most uncomfortable. OVERALL - Love the watch, it's a manly man piece.

I got this as a Valentines Day gift. I was actually looking to purchase GA100-1A1, but I would settle for this perfectly (even though this is a good $20 dearer.) Here's my 2 cents...The Good:> Looks super cool, super sophisticated and different from a distance.> 200 meters water resistance.> Standard G-Shock functions like chronograph, timer, 4 alarms with snooze, auto-illumination, world clock, 12/24 hour time etc. besides an awesome tachometer.> Very rugged double clasp wrist band.The Bad:> The LED illumination is actually in the bottom of the watch base and is ORANGE!! Gimme a blue/green light over this any day.> This isn't black, its gray. Not too bad, but black is black! :)Verdict:All in all this G-Shock looks sophisticated and unique. I own a G-Shock Gulfman as well, but that's not been touched ever since I got this one. This one is definitely tough and rugged. Slightly large (50+ mm dia.) but comfortably light. I love it!
