Sleeping much better

My mattress is old, and there was a spring sticking in my back no matter which way I flipped it. Rather than get a new mattress, I thought I would give this 2" mattress topper a try. I couldn't be happier! I have it for about 1 week now, and my sleep has greatly improved. I am a side sleeper, but I do not sink all the way into it because it is 4 lb density, and can't feel anymore springs! I was initially looking for something "rock hard" that I would not sink into at all, because I normally like a firm mattress. This topper is definitely not rock hard, there is some give to it. However, I find that that just makes it more supportive, without any pressure points. I've read reviews from other people complaining that they cannot roll over because the topper has too much give, and they get "stuck." I have not had that issue with this topper. It is dense enough that moving is not an issue. I must note again that I have the 2" topper. This company also carries 3" and 4", which may have different results.I ordered the regular twin size topper, and find that it fits my regular length twin size mattress perfectly. There is an inch or so overhang along the edges, so that when the fitted sheet is placed on top, it holds it in position and covers the whole mattress. Again, I read reviews of other toppers that had complaints because of the toppers being to small. People were ordering the next size up to get a good fit. Not a problem with this topper... it fits great! There was very slight chemical odor when I first opened the bag, but it wasn't even enough to make me want to move it into another room. I just let it sit for a few hours to regain it's shape, and had it on my bed that night to sleep on. I have many allergies, but this did not bother me at all.The company that this topper ships from had excellent service. The topper arrived within 3 days of ordering, 2 days before the earliest estimated arrival date. It was well packaged so it wouldn't be damaged during shipment. And, the day it arrived, I also received a post card via USPS from the company, providing Customer Service phone numbers and emails in case there was any problem, or if I had questions.I highly recommend this topper, it will help you get a much better night's sleep!

I'm happy that I paged through 4 pages of memory foam toppers to get to this one.Product arrived two days after order. Shipping was free, and price was much betterthan others. Queen 2" 4 lb/cu ft. topper weighed approx. 21 pounds, exactly what it should weigh. It had some smell, which wasn't too bad. I aired it out for 3 hours on my terrace, then put it in my bedroom. I noticed a little odor the first night but it wasn't objectionable. I didn't notice any odor until I trimmed the topper to fit my full sized bed, a few weeks later, which released a little odor. After that no odor issues. This thickness/density works well for me. I don't sink in so deep as to feel my hard bed underneath. And since I'm not burrowed in too deep, the topper doesn't feel hot. (I'm a male, 6'1" and 170 lbs.) Yet the pressure/pain in my hips is completely gone.

I am new to memory foam, but from pecking around on the internet, it seems that 4 lb foam is about the least density you want to go to be able to feel an effect. The big dollar mattresses often use 7-8 lb foam, but reviews seem to be similar to the less dense foam such as this. I thought I would try this to get some comfort while I save for a nice mattress.After getting this (and letting it air out for a while), I can say that about 95% of the pressure points that I felt without it are gone. The only point on my body that sinks in far enough to feel a little pressure is my tail bone when I am on my back and my hip bone when I am on my side. Again, its not uncomfortable at all, just a little noticeable when compared to the rest of my body (which floats without any pressure). I have used this for about a week and can feel a big difference in my back... the soreness at my hips is gone, my upper back feels a little stiff in the mornings, though. This can probably be attributed to sleeping on a stiff, poorly made mattress for so long. Chiropractors say that it takes a while to adjust to memory foam, so I am glad that I am on my way to better sleep.Overall, I am very glad to have tried this. It fits perfectly over my queen mattress and I cannot recognize my old bed at all under this topper. I am 6' tall and weigh around 175 lbs.
