I got the bike this past week. I'll admit it was NOT the easiest thing to setup...definately could use some changes in that department...but I love the bike itself!I got it specifically because I wanted to have a bike that had the control panel off to one side so I could easily watch TV while I rode it. This one fits the bill, is SUPER comfy and very very easy to use once assembled! The way the heart rate monitor hand holds are is ubber comfy as well, I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a recumbent bike.

I received the bike just over a week ago and enjoy it immensely.I paid $899 for the unit. I see the cost went up which doesn't surprise me in light of its quality.Assembly - took 40 minutes with my son. That being said, one person could assemble this on their own. The instructions are clear. I greatly appreciated the fact that AFG bagged each set of bolts/washers or screws to correspond to each step of assembly. So, I think there were 7 steps and 7 little sealed plastic bags. They provided a screwdriver and 3 allen wrenches, along with a flat open-ended wrench used to install the pedals. Everything lined up. You should probably assemble this unit where you want to use it as it is about 43.5 inches wide at the top and would be nearly impossible to get down many hallways and difficult to get through most doorways. The most difficult part of assembly in our experience was plugging the electric connections into the bottom of the computer. That required a great deal of physical dexterity. My 20 year old son found it challenging to make the small connections. It would be awesome if they shipped the unit with the connections made in the computer and then just allowed a easy splice connection to be used. Wishful thinking...or a good idea for engineers.Use - the unit is very quiet and smooth due to the heavy flywheel and belt configuration. It operates and feels very much like the commercial recumbent cycles at the fitness center. The computer functions similarly and is pretty intuitive. This AFG cycle is more comfortable than the recumbent cycles at the club for a few reasons. First, the pedals are oversized and feel good even after the 10 mile mark. Second, the combination of the seat and back works very well (reminds me of my seat in my 2012 Honda). Thirdly, the offset computer makes viewing the tv a pleasure as one is not forced to stare glibly into a little computer screen. Finally, the handlebars add to the comfort by providing upper torso support which I appreciate greatly as I have serious lower back issues. At this point, I can tell you that it is in a class all by itself compared to the typical recumbent cycles you can test at Sears, MC Sports, Dick's Sporting Goods and the like. The Schwinn models feel like a piece of home exercise equipment. This doesn't. With the price increase, I would hesitate, but would purchase it anyway knowing that no bike is a good deal if it isn't used consistently. I expect to use this bike for years.

This bike was easy to put together and also easy to use. Even my son with cerebral palsy is finally able to get some cardio exercise. This bike is everything that we had hoped. We are very pleased.
