Top quality steel

I bought this item off the MBRP name reputation, I had no other previous experience with this product. The quality is top notch. The craftmaship is top quality. The only downfall for me was that it is not loud enough. It gave my Jeep TJ 6 cyl a very deep and agresive tone but is not as loud as I thought. I recommend this product for any application.

MBRP T409 for 99 Wrangler TJ

Pros: Easy install. Sounds pretty goodCons: The instructions for installation were lacking on some vehicle specific installation requirementsThe seller we bought this from was very quick with the shipment. The item was boxed appropriately. Everything was in the box for a complete install.Did a lot of studying and reviews before buying this system. My 18 year old son and his friend installed it themselves. I supervised with a cup of coffee and didn't even have to get under there with them. It was easy and straight forward. I might have taken and hour or so from start to finish. The mounting hooks hit all the right spots. I would recommend checking around for others that have installed systems and pick up all the little tips and tricks. Like what you should know before you start, (ie a 1999 Wrangler skid plate supports the transfer case) so a jack just to support transfer case while the skid plate is off is a must. I looked for YouTube and Jeep Blogs, to finally find some others with previous experience and step by step installs.The sound is pretty good for a 4 cylinder. It has a nice low tone. I have confidence to make this install again in the future if needed. Or at least my kid can do it for me :)
