Excellent construction/Too Small

This purse has some definite pluses-- it's well-made, the zippers seem excellent, it's lined, the strap is reinforced with metal cable so it can't easily be cut, & it's real leather. The gun compartment is well-designed; the holster attaches with strong velcro, so you're not going to be pulling the holster out with your gun. The gun compartment has zippers on both sides so that you can use it right-handed or left-handed. The gun also sits low enough in the compartment so that the purse is not top-heavy. The gun also does not "Print," so it's completely concealed.The negatives: The leather isn't soft; it's incredibly hard. I've been using this purse for about six months, & while the leather is beginning to soften up, I think it might take another year or two of daily use before it gets really soft.The compartments are *tiny*! With a 9mm in its concealed compartment, the inner purse barely has room for a checkbook, a passport, one lipstick, and a cell phone, and these items are packed in there *tight*!In the outer zippered compartment, I can carry an extremely small wallet for my paper money and a couple of credit cards. In the other smaller outside pocket, I can carry a business card case.This purse is unforgiving when trying to get things out of it. I can only retrieve the top items easily. In order to get anything from the bottom of the purse, I have to unpack the whole thing. Even then, if I want to get my checkbook or passport out, I have to take the gun out as well. That won't work very well if you're trying to get your checkbook out at a grocery store. Additionally, since the leather is so rigid, it's hard to get my hands in and out of the purse without the zippers scratching.The good thing is that even with the purse packed tight (with just a few items that might require a crane in order to extract them), the gun still slides easily out of its compartment.The shoulder strap is horrendously difficult to wear cross-body, and if it twists-- it hurts. Trying to get it untwisted isn't easy because of the metal cable. Also, if you smack your face with the shoulder strap, it'll leave a bruise. Adjusting the strap takes time and patience; because the leather is so rigid & because of the metal cable, any strap adjustment will have to "wear in." I suppose you could try beating it with a hammer in order to get it to lay nicely.Since the leather is so rigid, this purse will not lie flat against your body. Instead, it sticks out like a bag of potatoes.If you carry very few items in your purse, this one may work OK for you-- especially after the leather softens in a few years. But if you carry anything more than just a gun and a checkbook, it'll be a literal pain. I wish I had not purchased it.

great purse

Just exactly what i wanted. Separate section for the pistol,so no one has any idea that it is there, and room enough room for other needed items. Love, Love, Love this purse.

Nice, but.......

Love the leather and it is put together great, however, there really is not enough room. Everything is a tight fit and it isn't like I have a lot to begin with.
