Great Coat but........

I purchased this coat for my German Shorthair Pointer (GSP). It arrived today from Amazon and it is wonderful.Soft to the touch and VERY easy to put on my dog. It has a back zipper which makes putting on easy (ok as long as you can get your dog to hold still, mine is a little wiggly). It looks great on and has the cinch cords to ensure a great fit.Here is my only complaint (Product information is not in ENGLISH) It does come in many languages for those countries who purchase this brand (DE, ES, FR, RU, IT, SV & FI). I love that it offers many languages for those who purchase their gear. My problem is I do not speak or read German, Spanish, French, Italian, or Finnish (I am not sure what SV is).What about the people in the United States and UK who speak English? Maybe I need to learn a second language but for now I am off to find some one to translate so I care for this superior garment as intended. A quality coat that looks nice too. I checked other sites for additional sizing instructions and ultimately chose her size using her chest measurement. I expected it to be way too big around the neck and stomach, but was pleasantly surprised that it fit perfectly without having to use the cinch cords.I searched for coats based on 1) visibility... in the dark or when hiking during hunting season; 2) full coverage and protection of underside for warmth; 3) zipper closing along the back; 4) quality and comfort. This coat not only fit the criteria... It hit the mark for each one. (My girl might dispute the last one, but only because she prefers not to wear anything but her own fur. When I put it on her, she stands and walks a little funny until I open the door... then she runs and plays like nothing is holding her back.)The flap under zipper protects her fur from getting caught when zipping up and protects her skin from the cold of the metal in cold weather. The water and wind proof design was an added bonus! It's very easy to put on, but then again she's usually cooperative when I'm not a spaz (some harnesses are worse than figuring out a bikini!)The only cons... No leash loop; reflective strips are highly reflective, but could be a little wider for better visibility; and the product guide contains many languages except English (my Spanish classes from 20-25 years ago came in handy).I had a hard time pressing the Place Your Order button because of the price, but I did, and am very happy with this purchase... It was well worth it!

Was looking for a jacket that offered more function than fashion...something meant for dogs that spend a lot of time outdoors hiking, camping, etc., and a lot heavier duty than the jackets you find at Petsmart. These fit the bill perfectly. Even though my dogs have very different builds, they are the same length and got the same size. The bungee cord style cinches around the waist and neck allow you to adjust it as needed, and it still looks good even if you have to cinch it up a lot for a thinner dog. The hind leg straps are great, keeps it from slipping to one side even when they're running and jumping all over. Zipper along the top makes for easy on and off, and much more secure than the velcro closures found on most jackets.. Fabric is nice and thick, but still lightweight and flexible enough not to interfere with their movement. They are a bit pricey, but at the rate my mutts were going through cheaper jackets, these were totally worth it.
