Big SSD, (relatively) small price

This is the only SSD that I have experience with, but it has been a pretty good one so far. For starters, it is much faster than my laptop's old hard drive. I have noticed a dramatic improvement in battery life as well. I still get giddy with excitement every time I launch a program and it opens immediately. The boot time is also great. The only downside to this drive is that my laptop occasionally locks up when trying to resume from standby or hibernation. My laptop is a 15.4" MacBook Pro (2008 unibody). It only happens 1-2 times per week. For me, that's fine. The only thing I ever leave open is a browser, so I never lose anything because I can restore the open tabs pretty easily.In all, I'm quite happy with the drive. It's fast (maybe not as fast as others), but it has MUCH greater storage capacity for a fraction of the price of other equivalent drives. For SSD on a budget, this is the drive to get.

Works beautifully on my notebook computer!

Installed in the CD/DVD port on my Dell Inspiron N7010, using a "NEW SATA 2nd HDD caddy for 12.7mm Universal CD/DVD-ROM" also bought on Amazon. Works as new SSD boot drive, and it makes the computer much faster on hard drive accesses.

I will not hesitate to buy from them again. Support from the company on their message boards is impressive. They do a good job up updating the firmware. It was very easy to install on my notebook with a fresh copy of Windows 7. Performance has been excellent. You can't go wrong with Mushkin. I'm getting 260 MB/sec write and 280 MB/sec read on my SATA 3.0 notebook. Not much slower (maybe 10 MB/sec less) than the Vertex 3 I had in there earlier. The Vertex 3 is now in my wife's desktop doing 500+ MB/sec.
