Deja-Vu

I have a couple of pairs of motorcycle boots, mostly from harley davidson but I bought theese because I liked the look of them. Now my harley boots are bigger and bulkier than theese but when I put theese on I got a deja-vu feeling as I am an ex-military guy and they felt and looked remarkably like my old jungle boots, even down to the zipper.Now I did not think I would like them as much as I do since I was ussed to the bigger ones but I actually like them better. Your feet do not bang around and they have a fitted feel to them wich end up being more comfortable. Not as heavy and bulky means that they can be worn for any occasion (not that I didn't wear the bulky ones that way anyways).Although I still have yet to see how theese perform in puddles (due to the zippered sides and zippers being on the small side), I would defenetly recomend theese for riding and casual wear.

Not bad for the price

This is a good looking boot but for guys with skinnier legs the top is way too big and flops like you are wearing farm boots. I wore them to the mailbox and back and this made it so I could not exchange or return them. I had them restitched and a bit better now but not ideal for me.

Stinker

I already had a pair of those from 2 or 3 years ago. Loved them so much and wore them so much they are showing some wear so I just wanted a new pair to switch to. As soon as I opened the box it was obvious, this aint the same product. Number one don't be fooled: the picture you see here is THE OLD PRODUCT, the thin toe you see here, which I love, is replaced by a chunky one, just like any other work boot. So the pic is different from what you get. The leather upper parts are of a much coarser and --gulp-- cheaper feel. Those are made in China and my memory might fail me but I thought they used to be made in either Mexico or South America, dont quote me on this one though. Then the comfort: the supple leather of the old model made it one the most comfy footwear I ever walked in. These new ones, well lets hope it's just that they need some time to be broken in, but stiff and not the same. All in all, the new ones are like a cheap and poor imitation of the old ones. Sorry!
