After a lot of research I've bought this unit to use it with my american household appliances and electronics in Europe.Did a lot of research, and came up conflicting answers on what plug in electronics work and what's not in Europe through these converters.I wanted to ship my refrigrator over, but i ended up not to,could have worked since the wine refrigerator works, but it would have been way too large for the kithen, so it was a good call.I chose this unit because of the less weight (still heavy though), enough power of 3000w and no hum/buzz, ok price.I had used and still own several different brand units in the 500watts range, almost all have an annoying hum/buzz,Not this one. And that is a main plus for me.It has been a year since i've turned them on, they run good, no buzz, no hum, no heat. I love them.Bought 3 of them, and hid them in different areas of the house.The building where we stay is 130 years old so not too many places to plug anything in.The importance of this in my case, that this one has 3 x 120volts plugs.Kitchen: I use my toaster 900watts, professional expresso maker 900watts, kitchen aid professional 600watts stand mixer, Braun 600watts hand blender, all 120volts.Not all at the same time, but usually two at the same time no problem.Living room: I use it with my 48 bottle wine refrigerator, couple of lamps and my 1600watts vacuum cleaner gets pluged in there sometimes, again 120volt units.Bedroom: computers, document shredder, computer monitors, sound system (amps/blueray/etc.) braun electric toothbrush gets charged, etc. all work fine.I have several power tools, hammerdrill, circular saw, vibrating sander, they all work fine through these converters.I can wholeheartedly recommend this unit, whatever I throw at it, it works and they look and feel well built.
