Burning UP!

Did I get a different product than the 2 positive reviewers (as of Nov. 2012) received?I recently bought a new Perfect Sleeper mattress set which features the 'outlast' technology. I think it works pretty well. I can definitely tell a difference in how hot I get at night compared to my old set. So, when I was shopping for a mattress pad, I certainly didn't want to minimize that feature in any way.When I ran across this pad, I thought, "Perfect"! I'd get a nice mattress pad with the same technology. I gave this as much of a test as I possibly could. I left it on the bed for a solid week before finally tearing the thing off and tossing it in a corner.It feels like someone put plastic on the bed. Instead of distributing or pulling away the heat, it seemed to concentrate it directly beneath me. Ordinarily, I would expect this, because it is a very nice, thick, well made pad. You expect something thick and soft to be warm, but this isn't supposed to be!I paid for a certain technology. I had an expectation that this pad would do what it says it will do and it failed miserably. Is it possible that the two 'outlast' products combined to form an evil 'anti-outlast' offspring??I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it is not 'terrible'. I just 'Don't like it'. It is nicely made. It's expensive, but it's made to last. It's large enough for any mattress thickness and the fully meshed sides completely cover the mattress. I could see getting years of use out of it, were it not flawed.I'm going to give it one more shot during the very coldest winter nights (with the ceiling fan blowing, of course)and if I change my mind at all, I'll edit this review. For now, though, I don't even know where I'm going store this big sucker, but it's not gonna come close to my bed.

This fits our mattress perfectly and adds a little bit of cusion also. Wonderful mattress pad! I have had it for 2 years and it still fits snuggly.

Perfect mattress cover

I was very impressed with this mattress cover. It is well made, and fit the bed perfectly. It does keep me cooler at night. I don't find myself waking up at night quite as often; at least not from getting hot, just my husband's snoring. I feel like it was well worth the money.

Improvement over original

This wand performs as expected. The electric cord seems to be better protected than with the wand that was originally supplied with my Meile Aquarius. The fittings are slightly tighter. I have to shove it firmly into the power brush.I would like to go on and say that I would not purchase another Meile vacuum cleaner. For around $1,000 (I got the bigger power brush), I don't expect components like the wand to fail. And I have a loose electrical connection at the base of the hose. The motor may be durable, but I could go on and on about how the whole solution is half-baked in my humble opinion.

Quality product

I love my Miele vacuum. It's very well made and year after year is a pleasure to use. After 2 years, the clip on the bottom of the wand wore down, came loose, and when it came out, the wiring slid out. It was somewhat difficult to reassemble. It would clip back into place, but just barely. Then before long, it would come apart again. I was pretty unhappy that I had paid so much for the vacuum and the wand appeared so fragile. I broke down and bought a new wand. Quite expensive. I've waited to review it to see how it would hold up. It has been nearly a year and it doesn't appear the lower clip is wearing at all. Don't know what caused the early failure of the first one, but thinking it may have just been a fluke. The new one is fine.

I give it a thumbs up- quick shipping that replaced my broken one. It was a bit pricey but it is Miele - lets just hope I can avoid breaking this one.

Operation:


Press lightly for momentary on and fully press for switch on, turn the bezel to select low or high output. Tighten for high and loosen for medium/low/strobe.

One of the best

The light is very well crafted and a big step up from the Chinese clones in terms of fit and finish. Beyond that the spread is VERY good - a narrow spot with a nice even halo closer in. I'm very happy with it. It has the nice feel of a big OLight in a smallish package.
