Even better than expected

I have a small dining area and this table works perfectly. It looks very "rich" and very well made. I was even more pleased than I had expected to be with the table.

I bought this table for additional seating at parties and it hasworked out beautifully. It is good quality and does not looktemporary. I have left it up even though I bought it becauseit folds. It looks nice and blends in and I will probably leave itup although I am glad to have the option to fold it and put itaway.

They are the original Guild flat-tops, first made in 1954. In 1965, Guild offered its popular F-50 jumbo model in a rosewood version the F50R, which has a completely different sound with a warmer tone than its maple sibling (the F-50) and has been an instrument of choice for players such as Bonnie Raitt, Bryan Adams and Dan Hicks.

Today's F-50R features solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a 4.8"-deep body, X" bracing pattern and a sculpted rosewood bridge. Other features include a AAA spruce top, bound ebony fingerboard with traditional mother of pearl and abalone block inlays, G"-shield headstock logo, gold hardware and a pure nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

Heartbreaker

I ordered my new "black diamond" F-50 (built in Tacoma), delivered from Twin Village Music, Lancaster N.Y. In mid December of 2011. The guitar played wonderfully and it was love at first strum. You just can't believe how great this guitar feels in your arms. Around the first of February (2012) I noticed some finish delamination at the lower bout, near the strap peg. Horrified, I immediately called Twin Village, along with Elderly Instruments of Lansing, Mi. (the closest dealer to my home). Elderly didn't even want to discuss the unit (or warranty coverage) since I didn't purchase it there. Twin Village directed me to Eric DeBarr's guitar hospital (an authorized Guild repair facility). Eric inspected the guitar, and immediately called Guild. It was sent back to them from Eric DeBarr about three weeks later. They still have the guitar and told me a minimum of 90 days to repair/replace. Twin Village told me a refund was "not an option". So here I wait for the great sounding guitar with the finish peeling off to be returned to me, hopefully in better condition than it left. I certainly would've rated the guitar a "10" had I not had the delamination issues. We'll have to wait and see if Guild's product manager Dave Gonzalez will get this taken care of, or if I continue to wait.

Replacement Hard Drive

Our hard drive recently crapped out on our laptop. I did some research on line and found this one. It was reasonably priced. I am not a computer tech by any stretch but was able to install the hard drive and reload all programs. Works well, appears extremely stable and was easy to install. Would recommend this to anyone who needs a replacement drive.
