I read nearly all of the reviews on this product and decided to take a chance. It arrived in perfect condition and that was, indeed, a surprise. The stand is great; but the packaging is wholly inadequate. Take a chance because it is a beautiful and well designed stand; but be prepared to request a replacement if it arrives damaged. A side note: the bronze finish is very nice but inappropriate for our wrought iron furniture so I spray painted it black and it took the new finish perfectly.

the umbrella base adds a touch of class to our paver pool deck. the weight is perfect for florida winds and stabilizes the free standing large market umbrella.
