Not a big 'review' guy, but this badboy warrants a few kind words. Wanted to treat myself to a new watch and with this Akula, I really feel like I'm spoiling myself! The pics don't do this timepiece justice. The packaging alone had me giddy. Heavy duty, yet refined. Came w/ all original paperwork including 'Cert of Authenticity.' The watch itself: Just enough shine to get noticed, very masculine, classically handsome, heavy as can be and BIG BIG BIG! This, good people, is a MAN'S watch! Was kinda nervous since my wrist is a little smaller than average, but the polyurethane is perfect for strapping this thing tight. Wore it out last night for the first time and the attention was kinda cool. Two total strangers said "wow! nice watch" and "now that's a watch!" (in a good way) For the money, it almost feels like stealing. If you wanna floor a guy w/ a gift this xmas, look no further!

This watch is SPECTACULAR!! It is a Russian Diver style watch, but to me looks much more like a big instrument gauge like you'd see in a sports car, boat or plane. The finishes on this thing are amazing. The butter-soft watch band makes this HUGE timepiece surprisingly comfortable to wear. It's Flat-Black Ion-plated watch case finish is very nice. The stunning brushed stainless-steel brackets on the top and bottom of the case are ALMOST TOO MUCH (That's one of the "WOW" features I love about it!)---My favorite thing about this 6427 Akula is that it sort of has a 1950's "Sci-Fi" look to it. RETRO & WRONG--But, that's what makes it so COOL. It also has a GMT feature which is pretty handy for traveling.I have 5 other Invicta's. I really dig them all, but this one takes the cake. I bought mine used online (to save money--I got an AMAZING deal! Especially for it's MINT CONDITION) But, if I could afford it, I could honestly say I would pay full-price for this watch. It's THAT unique and special. Some people might think it on the garish side, but that is their unfortunate hang-up!This watch makes a statement--Not really sure what kind of statement! But I am sure enjoying mine! =)
